Embarcadero Rowing Club is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization. Trial members are allowed to row for free their first month. This gives them an opportunity to find out if they like rowing in a whaleboat.

We ask inexperienced rowers (those who've never rowed in a boat) to attend a Learn to Row event first. These clinics feature a dedicated coach, coxswain, and experienced rowers to teach would-be whaleboaters in a safe and uplifting environment on the open water.

We strive to make rowing accessible and keep member dues as low as possible; they fund boat maintenance, equipment, and berthing. If you are interested in joining, Email Us and we'll give you more information. If you need to pay your dues, review the payment schedule and then make a payment. Your membership keeps Bay Area whaleboating alive.
